October 22, 2026 | Press Release

Eden Prairie, Minn. (October 22, 2026) — C.H. Robinson Worldwide, Inc. (“C.H. Robinson”) (Nasdaq: CHRW), the global leader in Lean AI supply chains, today announced the appointment of Valerie Capers Workman as Chief Human Resources Officer, effective November 16, 2026. Workman will succeed Angie Freeman, Chief Human Resources & ESG Officer, following her planned retirement at the end of this year, after nearly three decades of leadership with the company.

Workman joins C.H. Robinson as the company continues to advance its Lean AI strategy, accelerate innovation and build the capabilities needed to lead the future of global logistics. She will play a key role in aligning talent, culture and organizational capabilities with the company’s long-term strategy, helping translate technological advancement into sustained business performance.

Workman brings more than two decades of executive leadership experience across complex global organizations, including Tesla, where she served as Vice President and Head of Human Resources, and most recently Empower Pharmacy, where she serves as Chief Human Resources Officer. Throughout her career, she has led enterprise-wide workforce transformation, talent strategy and organizational change, with deep experience navigating the intersection of people, technology and business performance.

“Our transformation is about more than deploying advanced technology. It’s about fundamentally changing how we work, how we serve customers and how we unlock the full potential of our people,” said Dave Bozeman, President and Chief Executive Officer of C.H. Robinson. “Valerie brings a powerful combination of strategic HR leadership, transformation experience and a deep understanding of what it takes to build high-performing organizations through change. As we accelerate our Lean AI strategy and shape the next chapter of C.H. Robinson, her leadership will be instrumental in building the culture, talent and capabilities that will differentiate us for years to come.”

In her role, Workman will lead the company’s global human resources organization, with a focus on strengthening leadership and organizational effectiveness, advancing talent development and workforce capabilities, and fostering a high-performance culture that enables employees to thrive in an increasingly technology-driven industry. As part of this transition, the company’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) function will report to Dorothy Capers, Chief Legal Officer, aligning it with the company’s broader governance responsibilities.

“C.H. Robinson is redefining what’s possible in global logistics, and its approach to bringing together AI and human expertise creates an extraordinary opportunity,” said Workman. “I’m excited to join the company at such an important time and partner with its leaders and employees to build the capabilities, culture and experiences that will help power its next phase of growth.”

Freeman’s nearly 30-year career at C.H. Robinson has spanned leadership roles across Investor Relations, Marketing and Public Relations, Government Affairs, Human Resources and ESG. Throughout her tenure, Freeman has helped shape the company’s culture, strengthened its people strategy and guided the organization through significant periods of growth and change. Her leadership has also extended into the community through her role as President of the C.H. Robinson Foundation.

“Angie’s contributions to C.H. Robinson over nearly three decades have been extraordinary,” Bozeman said. “She has helped shape who we are as a company, strengthened our culture and made a lasting impact on our people and the communities we serve. We’re deeply grateful for her leadership, dedication and the legacy she leaves behind.”

Workman and Freeman will work together to support a seamless leadership transition.
