C.H. Robinson is deepening its commitment to advancing women in transportation by expanding its long-standing partnership with the Women In Trucking Association (WIT). After more than a decade of support as a Silver Partner, the company has elevated its engagement to become a Gold Partner—reflecting a continued investment in supporting and creating opportunities for women in the trucking industry.
Leadership engagement and philanthropic support
For more than a decade, C.H. Robinson has collaborated with WIT to help strengthen industry talent pipelines and increase access to meaningful careers in trucking and logistics providing nearly $350,000 in grants and other support. C.H. Robinson also actively participates in the association through leadership involvement, including board representation, and through philanthropic contributions from the C.H. Robinson Foundation that help remove barriers for women pursuing careers in trucking and logistics.
"Through Women in Trucking, we turn ideas into action—building partnerships that open doors for women, strengthen the industry’s talent pipeline, and accelerate innovation to drive business impact,” said Sheena Thieschafer, director of strategic sales for healthcare at C.H. Robinson and a member of the WIT board of directors. “Together, we’re shaping a future where women and the transportation industry can thrive."
Supporting industry-wide progress
Women in Trucking Association serves nearly 8,000 corporate and individual members across North America and works to increase the participation and influence of women at all levels of the industry. With support from partners like the C.H. Robinson and the C.H. Robinson Foundation, WIT continues to expand its reach—addressing challenges such as industry perceptions, training barriers, and more, opening doors for more women to thrive.
"C.H. Robinson’s partnership reflects a shared dedication to cultivating an industry where women can succeed at every level,” said Jennifer Hedrick, CAE, president and CEO of WIT. “By working together, we’re strengthening the network, visibility, and leadership pathways available to women in trucking."
