EDEN PRAIRIE, Minnesota (September 8, 2026)—C.H. Robinson, the global leader in Lean AI supply chains, is set to kick off its celebrations for National Truck Driver Appreciation Week (September 13–19) under the banner “Built to Move,” celebrating the men and women who deliver America’s freight 365 days a year. The week will culminate with a ceremony honoring the Carrier of the Year Award winners.
“The resilience of our carrier community never ceases to impress me,” said Michael Castagnetto, president of North American Surface Transportation at C.H. Robinson. “The past year has brought no shortage of challenges, from ongoing market pressure and regulatory uncertainty to broader economic and geopolitical headwinds. Through it all, these carriers continued to show up for customers, support their drivers, and keep freight moving. Their ability to adapt and deliver in tough conditions is what sets them apart. That’s why we’re taking this week to celebrate their service.”
Over the past twelve months, C.H. Robinson has supported carriers in a variety of ways, upholding its longstanding carrier promise of more loads, smarter technical solutions, and better support. Measures to reduce operational friction, increase efficiency, and expand business opportunities for carriers include:
- No-fee fuel card promotion to help counteract higher diesel prices
- Expanding committed freight opportunities to all carriers through the newly launched BidBoardX
- Longer freight-offer windows, with expirations extended from 15 minutes to midnight the same day, giving carriers more time to accept bookings
- Faster tracking activation through a secure link sent by text message, with no separate login required
- New Carrier Scorecard dashboard to give carriers a clear, up-to-date view of their performance
- 24/7 live chat, providing expert support whenever carriers need it
Throughout 2025, continuing the company’s long-standing commitment to supporting the broader trucking community, C.H. Robinson and The C.H. Robinson Foundation contributed more than $1.1 million to funding for scholarships, charitable donations, and strategic collaborations with nonprofit organizations. Philanthropic partnerships include Women in Trucking, NextGen Trucking, Truckers Against Trafficking, and the St. Christopher Truckers Relief Fund.
Over the past few weeks, as a token of their appreciation, C.H. Robinson employees at different locations across the country assembled carrier swag bags containing hand-written thank you notes and useful gifts for the road. These will be handed out to drivers at C.H. Robinson distribution centers during Truck Driver Appreciation Week.
Capping off the week, on Thursday, September 17, C.H. Robinson will honor its 17 Carrier of the Year Award winners, including executives, owners, and drivers, at an awards ceremony in Minneapolis. The laureates range from single-truck owner-operators to large fleets with hundreds of trucks, hauling everything our economy depends on, whether it’s garments, produce, large power generators and transformers, or highly valuable, temperature-controlled medications, across the US, Mexico, and Canada.
“The best carriers do far more than haul freight,” said Adam McDonough, Vice President of Capacity at C.H. Robinson. “They build trust through consistent performance, safe operations and exceptional service for shippers. Day after day, they navigate challenges, adapt to changing conditions and deliver for customers when it matters most. These award winners represent high standards of operational excellence, and we're proud to celebrate their accomplishments.”
